Oh. Hello. I guess this is my new blog.
Tomorrow I'm going to acquire a subscription to Beachbody On Demand. I own T25 and Cize, both of which I love, but I need more variety than that. With On Demand, you can choose from a pretty big variety of workouts. There's a free 30 day trial, so I figured that in order to get a real feel for it, I should, like, REALLY DO IT. For the full 30 days (except, you know, with a rest day here and there). I plan to use this cool workout scheduler: https://workoutscheduler.net/hybrid-workout-scheduler/
I won't publish (or share) this until the end, but yes, I have taken before photos. I don't know my weight, and I haven't worked up the nerve to weigh, because whatever that number on the scale is always depresses me. I'd rather just gauge it by how I feel. (But to be honest, I'm going to try to work up to it tomorrow morning. I'll try.)
Anyway. Who am I? Blurg. I'm a 36 year old single lady who works at a brewery and is still not quite an adult. I have been overweight since I was about 4 years old (in old photos, when I was very young I was thin as a rail. Fast forward to about 4 years old and I was suddenly chubby). I was diagnosed earlier this year with PCOS, and when I first went on medication for it, I was finally able to gradually lose weight, but that has slowed. I guess it's also important to mention that not only do I work out pretty frequently, plus I am also vegan. I don't eat any of the foods anymore that I always assumed were what was making me fat. Yet here I am. Still fat. These people who have never had a problem with their weight who like to trot out that "all you have to do is eat less and move more!"thing ...clearly don't know jack shit. Personally, I can keep myself under 1500 calories (despite MyFitnessPal wanting me to have at least 1800+) a day and go running at lunch and work out when I get home and still outweigh my fast-food eating, never work-out coworkers by 70 pounds. This is not a one size fits all thing. All bodies are NOT the same.
Anyway. My goal with this 30 day thing is a) to get awesome, and b) to see some visible results. Stay tuned, friends.
